3 Important things to note...

1) Anchor the device with your rear teeth - not your front teeth.

Even though the Slumber Guard Device looks like a sports mouthguard - you do not set it like one.  With a sports mouthguard you would pack all the material across your front teeth in order to protect them.

With a Slumber Guard Device the anchoring point is between the rear teeth.  The rear teeth are stronger than the front teeth. 

If you set the device solely against your front teeth, then you may experience some soreness within 24 hours.  This would indicate that the device has been set incorrectly as it should be comfortably fitted and not induce soreness.

2) Keep your neck straight.

It is not recommended that you sleep in a position that will aggravate your snoring symptoms.  This means to say that you should not sleep with your neck curled over.

One of the reasons why people who sleep flat on their back snore is because they sleep with a large pillow behind their heads, and with their neck curled over forwards.

Sleep with a Slumber Guard Posture Pillow or a smaller pillow that can help keep your neck straight.

3) It takes 4 nights to get used to using a Slumber Guard Anti-snoring Device.

It is crucial to understand that there is no easy fix to snoring.  Everything can take some getting used to.  A Slumber Guard Anti-snoring Device will produce immediate results - but it does take time to get used to sleeping with it in your mouth.
